SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a woman has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of a 39-year-old man in Syracuse.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 1:15 a.m. Saturday and found 39-year-old Misrain Perez unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner’s office determined that he had been stabbed several times including in the head, back, arm and leg.
After conducting interviews and reviewing evidence at the scene, Syracuse police arrested 35-year-old Shanta Washington on charges including first-degree manslaughter.
It’s not clear if Washington has an attorney who could speak for her.
