LEBANON, Va. (AP) - A pickup truck crashed into a van full of college students in Russell County.

Virginian State Police say the wreck occurred just before 9 p.m. on Saturday when a truck crashed head-on into a van on Route 58 in the Buzzards Roost section of the county.

Police say the van was carrying 11 students from Bluefield College. The students and the van driver were all taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The pickup truck driver was also injured, and was taken to the hospital.

Police say the cause of the wreck is under investigation but that the truck driver’s medical condition was a factor in the crash.
