DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Des Moines police have charged a second person in a shooting that killed one man and injured another.

Police announced Monday that detectives had charged 18-year-old Molly Elizabeth Peter, of Des Moines, with first-degree murder, attempted murder and robbery. The charges followed the Friday arrest of 26-year-old Des Moines resident Larry Deandre Ratliff Jr., who also is charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

They were charged following a shooting in Des Moines’ Beaverdale neighborhood that left 36-year-old Antonio Quinn dead and 33-year-old Michael James Jr. injured.

Online court records don’t indicate if Peter has an attorney. Police say she will be booked into the Polk County Jail on Monday afternoon.
