TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Two people have died and four other people were hurt in a wreck on Interstate 95 in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol told local media outlets the wreck happened shortly after 5 p.m. Monday near Timmonsville.

Cpl. Sonny Collins said a minivan and a car collided after one of the car’s tires blew. Collins said the vehicles ended up in the median and the minivan hit a tree, killing the driver and front-seat passenger.

Their names have not been released.

Two other people in the minivan and the two people in the car were taken to a Florence hospital for treatment of their injuries.
