MILLBROOK, Ala. (AP) - Two teenagers have been arrested after a police chase involving a stolen car ended in a fatal car crash.

WSFA reports (https://bit.ly/2pMdVeo) that Millbrook police officers pursued the 14-year-old driver and a 15-year-old boy on Saturday after a woman reported her car stolen.

Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson says officers lost sight of the car in Prattville, where it collided head-on with another car carrying three people. Sixty-nine-year-old Jimmy S. Ward died from his injuries Sunday evening.

A 69-year-old woman and 72-year-old man traveling in the car were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown. The woman whose car was stolen also sustained minor injuries from attempting to thwart the theft.

Both suspects were taken to the hospital, where they were released into police custody.
