Deputy director named interim chief of Nevada Arts Council

LAS VEGAS (AP) - The deputy director of the Nevada Arts Council is going to fill the top job, at least temporarily.

The Nevada Appeal reports (https://bit.ly/2puF06E ) that Linda Ficklin was named interim executive director of the state agency while a national search is conducted to replace longtime executive director Susan Boskoff.

Boskoff retired last month.

State Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs chief Claudia Vecchio says Ficklin has solid knowledge of day-to-day operations.

She came to the agency in March 2006, and has handled financial management, accounting, administrative services and personnel.
