LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police say a dead body was found in a car that investigators believe was towed and left on a residential street in Los Angeles.

It happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday in the Westlake neighborhood.

Los Angeles police say it appears the black Hyundai sedan had been towed and then left on the street.

Officers who responded to a 911 call found a body inside the car.

Detectives are still trying to determine how the person died. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

Police could not immediately provide any additional information. They say the investigation is continuing.
