PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police have arrested a homeless man on charges he stabbed another man with an unknown object near a downtown light-rail train station.

Sixty-six-year-old James Joseph Walker was awaiting arraignment early Tuesday on a charge of aggravated assault.

Police were called to the area just after 2 a.m. Wednesday and found the victim with a stab wound to his abdomen. That 54-year-old man was taken to UPMC Mercy hospital in stable condition.

Police searched the area but could not find a weapon.

Police haven’t said what motivated the stabbing.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Walker.
