GLOUCESTER POINT, Va. (AP) - Authorities say they have found a second body after two commercial fishermen went missing in Gloucester County.
Virginia Marine Police say a body believed to be that of 31-year-old Tony West was found Sunday in the same area where the body of 47-year-old Philip Brown, had been recovered Saturday afternoon.
The two men, both of Guinea, Virginia, were reported missing late Saturday morning after failing to return from a Friday evening trip.
Officials say the men had been working a gill net in the Swash Channel near the Guinea Marshes.
A Virginia Marine Police pilot spotted their sunken vessel in the channel early Saturday afternoon. Brown’s body was found tangled in a nearby gill net.
