WILMIGNTON, Del. (AP) - Police in Wilmington are investigating a daytime shooting that injured a 16-year-old.

Police said in a statement that officers responded to a report of a person shot around 11:30 Thursday morning. They found a 16-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to the left leg.

The statement says the victim was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition.



Anyone with information is asked to call police.

WDEL-FM reports the teen is the city’s 60th shooting victim of the year.
