COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The Latest on a Colorado man who told investigators he accidentally shot his brother to death (all times local):

A Colorado man who told investigators he accidentally shot his brother to death has been arrested.



The Colorado Springs Gazette reported Monday https://goo.gl/UMJ9i0 that 30-year-old Erik Mattyasovsky was booked into the El Paso County jail on suspicion of reckless manslaughter and the prohibited use of a weapon stemming from Sunday’s shooting at a home in Monument.

Investigators say Mattyasovsky told them he shot his brother while the two were practicing defensive techniques.

The victim’s name has not been released.

It’s unclear if Mattyasovsky has hired an attorney.

Law enforcement officers in Colorado are investigating after a man reported accidentally shooting his brother to death.

El Paso County officials say they’re investigating the Sunday evening shooting in Monument as a suspicious death.

The brothers are in their 30s.

Investigators aren’t saying what led them to believe the shooting is suspicious. No arrests have been made but one person was taken in for questioning. Officers were waiting for a search warrant to search the house.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
