HOUSTON (AP) - A Houston-area government building where a law enforcement officer was ambushed and shot to death while arriving for work will carry his name.

Harris County commissioners voted Tuesday to rename a courthouse annex in Baytown for Precinct 3 Assistant Chief Deputy Clinton Greenwood.

The 57-year-old Greenwood was fatally shot April 3 outside the building. Investigators later determined the man identified as the attacker killed himself the following day in Houston.

Records show the gunman had complained online and to the sheriff’s department over what he felt was mishandling of a domestic dispute from several years ago.
