FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina are investigating after a man was found shot to death at his apartment.

Fayetteville police said in a news release that officers were called to the home shortly before 630 p.m. Monday by a family member who had discovered a relative who had been shot.

Lt. Todd Joyce said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

Joyce says the preliminary investigation finds no indication the shooting was a random event. No arrests have been reported.
