CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - Jurors in the murder trial of a father accused of killing son because he had become an impediment to his relationship with a teenage girlfriend have seen a video of when police informed him the child’s body had been found.

David Creato sobbed and repeatedly yelled “no!” upon hearing the news from Haddon Township officers in October 2015. The video was shown in court Wednesday.

Creato told the officers his then-girlfriend of four months didn’t want anything to do with his 3-year-old son and had given him an ultimatum that she would leave him if he continued to see the child.

Creato said he told her his son will always be part of his life.

Creato maintains his innocence, saying his son wandered away from home on his own.
