HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) - Three people have been arrested in connection with a deadly home invasion in Holyoke.
Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni says a man was fatally stabbed early Friday after the suspects kicked down a door and entered his home. Investigators believe the assailants went to the home to take back a piece of property the victim possessed.
Gulluni says a police officer on patrol in the area heard screaming and saw a man running with a knife. That man and two other suspects were detained a short time later.
Holyoke residents Sammy Lozada, Jose Espada and Madeline Garcia were ordered held without bail after pleading not guilty in court to charges of murder, armed home invasion, and assault and battery.
The name of the man who died was not immediately released.
