INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings and watches and flash-flood watches for parts of Indiana.

Weather service forecasts predict up to 2 inches of rain for northwestern Indiana, an inch and a half for western parts of Indiana and 1 inch for eastern Indiana through Tuesday evening. In some areas 2 to 5 inches of rain have fallen already this weekend.

WDRB-TV in Louisville reports flooding in southern Indiana forced the Crawford County High School prom to move when the original location flooded in Corydon. Indiana conservation officers used an airboat to save the food and decorations. The dance moved to a Boys and Girls Club.

The flood warnings are in effect through Sunday evening including Indianapolis, Crawfordsville and Terre Haute.

Forecasters warn motorists to turn around when they approach a flooded roadway.
