OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Police say a second woman has died after being wounded in a shooting in northwest Oklahoma City over the weekend.
Police said Tuesday that 22-year-old Wendy Cortez-Paiz died at a hospital where she was taken in critical condition after the shooting early Saturday. A news release did not say when Cortez-Paiz died and police did not immediately return a phone call for additional comment.
Authorities have arrested 28-year-old Jessica Madbull on a first-degree murder complaint for the shooting that also killed 33-year-old Monica Valdez.
Three others were wounded but have been released from the hospital.
Madbull is being held without bond in the Oklahoma County jail, and court records don’t list an attorney who could speak for her.
