ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say they’ve made an arrest in the death of a 45-year-old Buncombe County man.

Deputies say they arrested 48-year-old Timothy Robert Gallion of Barnardsville in the death of Bobby Ray Pegg II.

Pegg’s niece went to check on him March 23 and found him cold and unresponsive in his home. He had been shot to death.

Gallion was being held without bond on charges of first-degree murder and second-degree arson. He was expected to appear in court later Thursday, and it wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.
