NEW YORK (AP) - Police in Brooklyn have arrested a man after recovering a weapon, drugs and an alligator-like reptile.

Police officers had gone to 41-year-old Tracey Habakkuk’s home on Wednesday to execute a search warrant.

Inside, police say they found a caiman kept in a tank, along with a loaded .380 semi-automatic handgun and crack cocaine.

Habakkuk was arrested on charges of possessing a prohibited wild animal and drugs and weapons possession.

Information on his lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

Caimans are native to South America. They are in the same animal family as alligators and similar in appearance to the untrained eye.
