CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Two Carson City schools have been closed due to a water main break.

Public Works employees were able to restore normal water system operations hours after the water main break was reported early Thursday. Fritsch Elementary School and Bethlehem Lutheran School both closed for the day.

Temporary street repairs are underway and were expected to wrap up by the end of the day.

Officials are warning residents their water could be temporarily discolored due to naturally occurring chemicals that accumulate in the water system. It is not harmful.
