ANITA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a man’s body has been recovered from a lake on southwestern Iowa.

The Iowa Natural Resources Department said in a news release Friday that a passer-by had spotted an overturned kayak around 3 p.m. Thursday in Lake Anita at Lake Anita State Park in Cass County. The man’s body was found and pulled from the lake, along with the kayak and a paddle.

The department identified the man as 63-year-old Roland Henderson, who lived in Wiota, Iowa.

An autopsy has been ordered.
