FORT DRUM, N.Y. (AP) - New York state officials say a $7.6 million bridge project at Fort Drum in northern New York will be completed by fall 2018.
The construction of a bridge carrying Nash Boulevard over State Route 26 at Fort Drum is designed to increase safety and reduce congestion on the state route.
Fort Drum is the home of the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said more than 50,000 New York residents depend on Fort Drum and called the post “an economic anchor” for northern New York.
