SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A tire blowout is suspected of causing a sport utility vehicle to roll over on Interstate 37 just south of San Antonio, killing two adults and a child and injuring three other occupants critically.

The Bexar (BAYR) County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday about 18 miles south of downtown San Antonio. Sheriff Javier Salazar said four adults and two children younger than age 3 were riding in the SUV, which displayed Mexican license plates.

The SUV was southbound on the interstate when it began to flip, ejecting at least two adults. Aside from the three killed outright, a man, a woman and a child were in critical condition at San Antonio Military Medical Center.
