CLIFTON, N.J. (AP) - Police in New Jersey are searching for men who they say assaulted a homeless man.

The Record reports (https://njersy.co/2ueYo8K ) the assault occurred July 20 around 9:30 p.m. in Clifton. According to police, at least two men assaulted a 39-year-old homeless man.

Clifton Police Department spokesman Detective Lt. Robert Bracken says the victim was seriously injured in the attack. The man was treated for injuries at St. Joe’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson.



Police say the victim didn’t know the assailants.
