BARRE, Vt. (AP) - Police have accused a Vermont man of selling fentanyl-laced heroin to a man who overdosed on the drug and died.

Police on Wednesday arrested 24-year-old Jacob Rillo in Barre.

They accuse him of selling the drug in February to 23-year-old Jesse Kampen, of Brookfield, who died a day after buying it.

Rillo was jailed and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
