DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A Des Moines woman has been sentenced to prison and told to pay back the bank from which she embezzled nearly $70,000.

Federal prosecutors say 34-year-old Lacey Nicolino on Thursday was given five months in custody and was ordered to serve five years of supervised release after she leaves prison. She’d pleaded guilty to embezzlement by a bank employee.

Her plea agreement says she took cash while working as a vault teller at a Bankers Trust branch, frequently under-reporting deposits made by the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority.
