HUDSON, N.Y. (AP) - Police in a Hudson Valley city are expected to release more details of separate shootings that left two women and two toddlers with gunshot wounds.

Hudson Police Chief Edward Moore is holding a news conference Monday afternoon to discuss last weekend’s shootings in the city, located 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of Albany.

He told the Times Union of Albany (https://bit.ly/2uHasRj) that a 28-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder Saturday. The next night on the same block someone opened fire on the back yard of a home, wounding a woman and her 2-year-old daughter. A 3-year-old boy inside the home was also hit.

All three suffered leg wounds and are expected to survive.

Moore says the second shooting occurred despite his stationing three police officers outside the home.

No arrests have been reported.
