LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say two people were killed in a shootout that followed a fight on a suburban street in the San Fernando Valley.

Lt. Mike Kozak says a group of about six people were hanging out in North Hollywood early Tuesday when an altercation broke out.

Kozak says at least two weapons were fired multiple times as the group scattered.

One victim was killed at the scene and the other died on the way to a hospital.

At least one person was hospitalized in critical condition.

Kozak says police are searching for additional suspects in the residential area 15 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.
