SANFORD, N.C. (AP) - The bodies of a man and woman have been found in a bullet-riddled car in central North Carolina.

The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office told local media outlets the bodies were found Monday afternoon in a car in Sanford.

There were bullet holes in the windshield and hood in the car found beside a dirt road.

Officers found the bodies of 27-year-old Bryant James Rosser of Spring Lake and 24-year-old Kelcie Lynn Vann of Sanford in the front seat of her car. Deputies say both victims had been shot.

The bodies have been sent to the medical examiner’s office for autopsies.

No arrests have been made. Deputies have not yet determined a motive for the shootings.
