PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The price of gasoline in Rhode Island has remained the same since last week.

That’s according to a weekly survey by AAA Northeast on Tuesday.

Gas prices rose 8 cents per gallon in Rhode Island last week, to an average of $2.36 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas.

AAA Northeast says the average remains $2.36 per gallon, which is one cent above the national average.

AAA found regular gasoline selling for as low as $2.29 per gallon and as high as $2.46.

The average price has risen 23 cents since last year at this time, when gas was averaging $2.13 per gallon.
