CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A man and woman accused of killing two other people have pleaded not guilty in West Virginia.
The Charleston Gazette-Mail reports 42-year-old Bobby Gene Hall and 38-year-old Misty Ann Rucker entered the pleas in the Kanawha County Circuit Court on Wednesday. They were indicted earlier this month on several charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle and first-degree murder in the deaths of 55-year-old Timothy Jett and 38-year-old Audrey Short.
Hall is accused of shooting Jett and Short while they were lying in bed in February. Authorities say Rucker was a lookout at the front door of the home.
Hall and Rucker are accused of fleeing from the home and driving to Kentucky. Charleston police Lt. Steve Cooper says the pair were spotted driving a stolen vehicle and later arrested.
