BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Many North Dakota residents can now renew their driver’s license online.

The state Transportation Department launched the new online tool this week for drivers age 21 to 65 who have no changes in their address or name.

To be eligible, drivers must already have a Class D or Class M North Dakota license and must have previously renewed it in person after turning 21.

The online renewals are available every other renewal cycle. The current renewal cycle is six years.
