NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Police say a Delaware homeowner walked into a daytime burglary before arrests were made.

New Castle County Police say in a statement it responded Monday to a house in the Cleland Heights community outside Wilmington shortly after the burglary.

Master Cpl. Heather Carter says the homeowner heard noises inside then saw four people fleeing out the front door. Police found the suspects hiding in the area after the victim described their clothing.

Facing second-degree burglary, felony conspiracy, misdemeanor theft and other charges is: 22-year-old Davahne Davis, 21-year-old Tyaire Miller, 18-year-old Davien Johnson and a 16-year-old boy.

After failing to post bail or bond, the men are held at Howard Young Correctional Institute while the boy is at the County Detention Center. It’s unclear if any has an attorney.
