ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - A fifth teenager is facing murder and conspiracy charges after a South Carolina man was stabbed fatally last weekend.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that the 16-year-old boy is charged in the slaying of 48-year-old Charles Hillery of Pendleton. Detective Nikki Carson said in a news release that the teen is being held in a juvenile detention center in Greenville.
Two 18-year-olds and two 17-year-olds were charged with the same crimes earlier this week.
Deputies were called to Hiller’s home around 2:30 a.m. Sunday and found him dead from several stab wounds.
