NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Officials say the body of a missing New Orleans man has been found after an all-night search at one end of the big lake north of the city.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says 57-year-old Lawrence Guimont’s body was found about 7 a.m. Wednesday near the spot where his overturned 12-foot flatboat was found in Lake Pontchartrain (PONCH-uh-trane).

Spokesman Adam Einck says in a news release that investigators don’t know what capsized the boat.

An autopsy will determine cause of death.

Einck says Guimont owned the boat found Tuesday and a truck at a nearby boat launch, and his family confirmed that he’d gone fishing.

He says Guimont was not wearing a life vest.

The Coast Guard, Louisiana State Police and St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office also searched.
