CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles is planning to change the look and location of state inspection stickers, starting Oct. 1.

The stickers will be placed in the lower, driver side corner of a vehicle’s windshield. They also are being redesigned.

The DMV says many newer model vehicles are now being equipped with crash avoidance technology, which is located in the same area where inspection stickers are currently placed.

The new design will include both the month and year of expiration, as well as several new security features such as a hologram backer.

The DMV says certain vehicles, such as motorcycles, will continue to utilize the current inspection stickers.
