CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A public comment period on a draft list of the state’s impaired streams and lakes is coming to an end.

The state Department of Environmental Protection is accepting public comments through Monday on its draft list of impaired waters. The DEP is required to update its list every two years. Such waterways fail to meet state water quality standards.

A draft list can be viewed on the agency’s website at www.dep.wv.gov/WWE/303d .
