NEW YORK (AP) - Police are investigating the stabbing of a homeless man who was attacked while playing chess in New York’s Union Square.

The Daily News reports (https://nydn.us/2vaqjIa ) that three men approached the 39-year-old victim at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and argued with him.

One of the men plunged a sharp object into the homeless man’s chest before the group ran off.



The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Police have not made any arrests.
