OPP, Ala. (AP) - Two men have been arrested in connection with an Alabama shooting that left a teenager seriously wounded.
Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms tells local media that 20-year-old Matthew Arthur Oberley was arrested Tuesday in Panama City, Florida, on a charge of attempted murder. He’s currently awaiting extradition to Alabama.
Also arrested was 19-year-old Anthony Carter on two counts of reckless endangerment.
Helms says the shooting occurred at a party and stemmed from a fight. The victim, who is younger than 18, was shot in the neck but is expected to survive.
It’s unclear if Oberley or Carter has an attorney.
