LANCASTER, S.C. (AP) - Prosecutors say a man pleaded guilty to shooting and killing a man more than a year ago in South Carolina.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported that 22-year-old David Kucinski pleaded guilty in Lancaster on Tuesday to murder, armed robbery and possession of a gun during a violent crime.

Prosecutors say Kucinski was the ringleader and shooter in a botched drug robbery that killed 20-year-old Randy Tran of Fort Mill.

Kucinski was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Tran was found in April 2016 in some woods in Lancaster County.

A witness saw Kucinski taking Tran’s body from a car trunk and then running away.

Prosecutors said Kucinski planned to rob Tran of six pounds of marijuana, and decided to kill him to cover up the crime.
