RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - Police in a Vermont city are warning residents to lock up after a surge in reported burglaries.
Cmdr. David LaChance tells The Rutland Herald (https://bit.ly/2wEoYgf ) the Rutland City Police Department received more than 30 burglary complaints and several car break-ins in the last month.
LaChance says some of the items stolen include credit cards, computer equipment and books. Most of the cars stolen from were not locked. He says the department is “making progress,” and they have recovered some of the items.
LaChance says residents should report suspicious activity and tell police of any signs of a break-in.
