NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina firefighter is facing sexual offense charges after an alleged incident involving an underage girl.

Local news outlets report that according to jail records and the state Attorney General’s Office, 24-year-old Jonathan Vincent Jimno was arrested Tuesday on four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of giving obscene material to a minor.

Court documents show Jimno wrote explicit messages and asked for photos from someone who he thought was a 14-year-old girl, but was actually a deputy with the Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

The North Charleston Fire Department said in a statement that Jimno has been a firefighter with the department since April 2014. He’s been placed on administrative leave.

It’s unclear if Jimno has an attorney.
