MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) - Police in northern Indiana have identified a woman whose body was found in a ditch but aren’t saying yet how she died.

She was identified Thursday as 24-year-old Ashleigh Nicole Blatz of LaPorte County.

Michigan City police say a bicyclist discovered her body on the city’s far east side about 7:25 a.m. Wednesday.

Police aren’t calling the case a homicide but rather a “death investigation.”

An autopsy has been ordered.

Police are asking the public for information leading to the circumstances surrounding her death.
