OXFORD, Maine (AP) - Curtis Gerry has won the 44th annual Scott’s Recreation Oxford 250 in Maine - and more than $30,000.

Gerry tells the Sun Journal (https://bit.ly/2wCsmsu ) he “couldn’t be any happier” after winning his first track championship last year, and now the race at Oxford Plains Speedway Sunday night.

He won a total of $35,200, which includes $100 per lap for leading 102 laps. The win was his first in the Pro All Stars Series since his career began in 1990.

Reid Lanpher, of Manchester, finished second. Cassius Clark, of Farmington, led the first 123 laps until he got spun around and had to restart. He came in third.

Lanpher praised Gerry, saying there’s no one he would rather see win the race.
