BROCKPORT, N.Y. (AP) - Police in a small western New York college town are investigating the shooting of a 33-year-old woman found dead in her pickup truck in a parking lot surrounded by trees near her workplace.

Brockport Police say around 1 p.m. Friday, Megan Dix left the Lowe’s Home Improvement store where she was assistant manager. Her husband Chris Dix found her body that evening when he went to look for her. The couple has an 8-year-old son.

Dix’s brother, Don Duncanson, tells the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle (https://on.rocne.ws/2wctGBf ) his sister often spent lunch hours in the lot where she was found, watching deer and messaging on her tablet. It’s about 1 ½ miles from the state College at Brockport.

Police are asking anyone who parked in the lot Friday to call investigators.
