BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont police have arrested a man wanted for conspiracy to commit murder in New York.
Nineteen-year-old Scott Hunter, of New York City, was arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop and foot chase in Burlington.
Hunter was charged with the sale of heroin, resisting arrest and providing police with false information. Police say he’s wanted in Brooklyn for conspiracy to commit murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
He’s being held pending extradition to New York.
The driver, 29-year-old Leon Delima, of Burlington, was arrested on multiple counts of selling cocaine and later released on conditions.
Police say Delima came to their attention after being present at at least three drug-related shootings in Burlington.
It was not immediately known if the suspects are being represented by attorneys.
