SUMMERSET, S.D. (AP) - A Montana woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a South Dakota woman.

Court documents say 38-year-old Stormy Gayle Marsh of Miles City is charged with killing 49-year-old Phyllis Mastin in her mobile home in Summerset early Wednesday.

KOTA-TV (https://bit.ly/2vwL5pr ) reports the court records say Mastin had been stabbed several times and that a knife and gun were found under her body. Police say they found Marsh at a Rapid City motel with the victim’s car and cellphone.

Investigators say they found a bloody knife and bloody clothes in the car.

Marsh told investigators that Mastin’s ex-boyfriend had been in the mobile home, that the three of them got into a physical fight and that Mastin told her to leave.

It was not immediately clear if Marsh had a defense attorney.
