PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Authorities say at least 10 ATVs and dirt bikes, a pickup truck and other equipment were stolen out of a garage that’s used by Providence Police to store seized property.

The police department says the vehicles and tools were discovered missing after a Department of Public Works employee discovered the building had been broken into early Wednesday.

A police report says a window and garage door were damaged, as was a metal wire that had been used to secure the vehicles inside the garage.

ATVs and dirt bikes are not allowed to be driven on public roads in Providence. The pickup truck is owned by the city.
