MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - A familiar face in a Vermont town is saying goodbye to residents after selling his pharmacy.

The Times Argus reports (https://bit.ly/2wn87MY ) pharmacist Rich Harvie has sold the Montpelier Pharmacy to Kinney Drugs. Harvie also sold his Waterbury location.

Harvie has worked in Montpelier since 1983. He will continue in his partnership at the Brattleboro Pharmacy.

Harvie says operations at the Montpelier Pharmacy will not change much for customers. Employees will continue in their roles with identical pay rates and similar benefit packages. The official changeover for the pharmacy is scheduled for Oct. 14.

Harvie says customers were sad to hear of his departure but wished him well. He says he is looking forward to retiring by the age of 66 so he can spend time with his family.
