CHESWICK, Pa. (AP) - Police believed two armed and dangerous suspects remained on the loose after they ditched their van and ran into the woods after robbing a Pennsylvania recycling business.

Police say the suspects robbed Largent’s Pallets & Recycling on Route 910 in Indiana Township about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A township police officer saw the blue van the men were in and gave chase, but lost track of the vehicle in the area which is crisscrossed by winding, rural roads. Police say the men ran into the woods. A state police helicopter was brought in but the search was suspended when it got dark.

Police say both men had handguns.

Investigators don’t believe the van was stolen, and that it may belong to one of the suspects.
